Lower health care costs

In the employer market, almost 40% of employees are covered by some kind of employee wellness initiative. It is widely accepted that employee behavior changes can drive down health care costs. It is also clear that on-site, personal programs are the most effective, but those are increasingly hard to provide to all employees, especially for a global company. We make it possible for employees to receive personal counsel on topics like smoking cessation, nutrition, weight management and exercise wherever they are, when they like, in a secure environment.

Key Features

  • Perfect for employees who telecommute or are in remote locations
  • Your existing preferred vendors and /or wellness staff can access platform
  • Can be integrated with your current program
  • Individuals can track sessions
  • Feedback tools

How it works

  1. John checks out provider blog and videos
  2. He fills out an assessment tool, to get a better focus on what he thinks are his risks
  3. Provider asks John to create a video introduction, and sends one to him as well
  4. John creates video and they set goals for their next session
  5. They work together via video conferencing
  6. After 5 sessions, John completes another assessment tool of his progress
  7. Leaves feedback via coach’s assessment tool
  8. John and the provider decide on an online resource to help reinforce new behaviors
  9. John's provider checks back in three months - John even looks trimmer and less stressed
  10. Reports aggregated by the coach, and gives results to corporate program manager

Virtual Wellness lets you:

  • use your own medical team or preferred vendors as coaches
  • use personalized assessment tools (like HRAs) in a secure environment
  • track management reports without violating HIPAA or company privacy policies

Case Study

John is a mid-management executive in Virginia, with a technical expertise that has recently become much more important to his firm.

In John’s Health Risk Appraisal, there were some warning signs about his health: his blood pressure is high; he’s overweight and he reports feeling very stressed. John’s doctor has been too busy to talk to him much, and John is not terribly motivated to change, but is willing to give it a shot.
